In advance of the 2022 Nobel Prize Dialogue in Brazil, we held an online discussion that explored ‘The Value of Science’.
Nobel Prize laureates May-Britt Moser (medicine 2014) and Serge Haroche (physics 2012) were joined by Luiz Davidovich, president of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, and Helena Nader, co-chair of the InterAmerican Network of Academies of Sciences. This was followed up with individual discussions with each of the two Nobel Prize laureates in which pre-invited students from throughout Brazil joined the laureates online for a wide-ranging Q&A.
This session was a prelude to the Nobel Prize Dialogue Brazil 2022, which will bring together Nobel Prize laureates and other thought leaders to discuss ‘The Future We Want’.

O Valor da Ciência

Em encontro online, os ganhadores do Prêmio Nobel May-Britt Moser (Medicina, 2014) e Serge Haroche (Física, 2012) conversaram sobre “O Valor da Ciência”. Eles estavam acompanhados por Luiz Davidovich, presidente da Academia Brasileira de Ciências, e Helena Nader, copresidente da Rede Interamericana de Academias de Ciências. Na sequência, foram realizadas duas mesas-redondas, nas quais estudantes universitários de todo o Brasil, previamente selecionados, tiveram a oportunidade de se juntar aos laureados com o Prêmio Nobel em sessões de perguntas e respostas.
Essa atividade foi um evento prévio ao Diálogo Nobel Brasil 2022, que reunirá vencedores do Prêmio Nobel e outras lideranças intelectuais para discutir ‘O Futuro Que Queremos’.
